Numbers 1-6
Numbering the people. Proving numbers are important to God.
The bitter water curse...If a woman was accused of being unfaithful to her husband the drank water mixed with the dirt of the tabernacle floor. If she was guilty, her thigh would rot and great pain would follow. If she was innocent, she would not get sick but rather bear seed. I guess this is a great symbolic lesson of criticism. If she was guilty or not, the woman still had to drink the bitter water. She had to endure, but it was the trial period that proved her. She came out looking guilty or she came out bearing seed...completely innocent of the accusation. Neither came with a quick proof.
Criticism in my life works the same. We all get it whether we deserve it or not. How I rise above it reflects the trueness or the falsehood of it.
